AM2 and FICA
The AM2 (Achievement Measurement) and FICA (Final Integrated Competence Assessment) are the recognised industry skills tests used to formally recognise an individual's practical electrotechnical competence.
The tests are taken by apprentices approaching the end of the JIB Apprentice Training Scheme or the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship. In industry terms, they fulfil the requirement for a PPA - Practical Performance Assessment - as part of the NVQ Level 3. They are also undertaken by experienced individuals who wish to accredit their previous practical experience.
The AM2 and FICA PPA assessments are licensed and operated by NET (National Electrotechnical Training) Ltd.
