What is COMP'Ex'?

COMP’Ex’ is the leading international training, assessment and certification scheme for electrotechnical crafts personnel who work in potentially explosive atmospheres, such as on- and off-shore petrochemical plants, distilleries, petrol forecourt environments and flour mills.

Who runs the scheme?

COMP'Ex' is overseen by a management committee of relevant bodies within the hazardous area industry, including the HSE (Health and Safety Executive). The ECA has technical representation on the COMP'Ex' Scheme Committee.
