ECA Education and Training (E&T)

 

ECA Education and Training offers members a wealth of experience and expertise to enhance individual performance and improve business. 

Our course prospectus addresses the key training issues necessary for the success of the industry and is continually adapted to reflect the environment in which ECA members operate.

Recent departmental activity:

  • In 2007, the department commissioned valuable industry research by the Institute for Employment Studies, into Incentives and Barriers to Training in the electrotechnical industry. Click here to view the findings, which were published as a report in December 2007.
  • New joint 'Introduction to Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveying' course - launched March 2008 -  in association with the HVCA and Maitland QS. View course brochure 
  • The ECA 2008 Training Fund was launched on April 1st, to make grants available to ECA members for Education and Training for work.  Access the information and forms here.
  • In 2008, ECA E&T developed a new range of Training Pathways for Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (Workplace or Dwellings) and Emergency Lighting in partnership with the Fire and Security Association (FSA) and the Fire Protection Association (FPA). View the course brochure
  • Three routes to qualification in BS7671: 2008 - a broad range of solutions for all industry levels, with best rates for ECA members and discounts for other industry groups. Visit www.eca.co.uk/17
