Joint Industry Board

The Joint Industry Board (JIB) is a unique industrial partnership. Jointly owned by the ECA and the trade union, Unite (Amicus section), it provides a forum for debate and agreement on employment matters. Its conciliation procedures ensure a fair hearing for employers and employees, with recourse to its independent chairman, Sir Michael Latham.

The JIB provides advice and support to contractors to help them manage the people side of their business and ensure compliance with a vast array of employment requirements. This is of great value to employers, as compliance with employment obligations is an increasingly time consuming aspect of running a business. Employers and employees can therefore feel confident that they are being provided with well-informed, impartial advice.

For more information visit the JIB website.
