The information provided is designed primarily for small, medium and micro-sized companies operating in the electrical contracting sector. However the information may be of help to companies of all sizes.
The health and safety web pages provide more detail about the following subject areas:

ZAP initiative
‘ZAP’ is the Electrical Contracting industry’s major initiative to:
- help companies improve health and safety performance;
- set industry and company targets for improvement; and
- monitor and report on the industry’s health and safety performance.
The ZAP section will focus on key industry hazards such as asbestos and falls from height. It also presents the industry’s annual accident statistics.
Legislation
Our health and safety legislation section will outline the requirements of some of the most important health and safety law for electrical contractors. The first guides cover the HSW Act and the ‘management of health and safety at work’ regulations.
This section provides briefings on key health and safety management issues. The first briefing looks at the health and safety responsibilities of directors. Some future topics will be of interest mainly to larger companies, such as the introduction of health and safety management systems.
