Sick Pay
- Provides sick pay for 26 weeks (after 2 waiting weeks) at rates according to grades. This provides a maximum payment of £3,300 (dependant upon grade) in any one year.
- After the period of sickness benefit of 28 weeks, operatives who are still unfit for work can opt for a total disability waiver. This allows, without additional premium, for a future claim for either permanent and total disability benefit or death benefit, providing disability occurs prior to age 65 and proof of total disability is provided as required. Eligibility terminates at normal retirement age.
