Everyone needs a helping hand sometime

Who knows what the future holds? The Electrical and Electronic Industries Benevolent Association (EEIBA) exists to help everyone who works – or has ever worked – in the electrical industry. It provides information, advice and one-off grants to individuals and their families who, for whatever reason, find themselves in need. As an ECA member, you, your staff and their families can now enjoy this benefit. Call the number listed below to get your card because you never know what life's going to throw at you.

The EEIBA is the only charity that exists to provide help to the needy and distressed who work, or have worked, in the electrical and electronic industries and any connected or allied industries and sciences (including mechanical engineering) in the UK.

The EEIBA helps staff and families of ECA members by:

  • Operating a free phone confidential telephone helpline 0800 652 9909. Monday - Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. A telephone answering service is in operation outside these hours.
  • Providing direct, quick access to a responsive welfare service when required, via the extensive EEIBA regional network.
  • Providing sources of information and offering guidance on a wide range of personal matters. Its aim is to assist with significant life events and issues for example, debt, state benefits, legal rights, health, relationship difficulties, family issues, bereavement, abuse and emotional distress.
