ECA Annual Awards Winners & Highly Commended Entries for 2016 have been announced:

W T Parker impressed the judges with how they introduced a range of innovative products and techniques within their projects, backed up by remarkably strong commitment to staff career progression, health and safety, and sustainable procurement.
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Imtech Engineering Services Central Ltd
2. ECA Contractor of the Year Award - up to £20 million turnover
WINNER: Haydon Mechanical and Electrical
Their use of design to improve both product and installation efficiencies across a range of projects impressed the judges. This, together with exceptional supply chain engagement, left the judges in no doubt about their overall winner for this category.

3. ECA Contractor of the Year Award - up to £5 million turnover
WINNER: Amalgamated Ltd
Amalgamated impressed the judges with their exceptional awards entry which detailed their high quality service to clients, supported by an excellent safety performance and strong commitment to staff training and development.
HIGHLY COMMENDED: DES Electrical Contractors UK Ltd
4. ECA Contractor of the Year Award - up to £1 million turnover
WINNER: Power Electrics (Bristol) Ltd
Power Electrics impressed the judges with their strong sustainability credentials and commitment to both staff and client training, particularly in the area of energy standby equipment.
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Panks Engineers Ltd and Elsym Installations Ltd
5. Best Client/Contractor Partnership Award
WINNER: DES Electrical Contractors UK Ltd
DES Electrical has established a special partnership with their client, Willmot Dixon, where early engagement delivered several prestige projects, with excellent customer satisfaction and often ahead of schedule.
6. Innovation in Contracting Award
WINNER: Marshall Land Systems Ltd
Described by the judges as an outstanding approach to innovation, Marshall Land Systems overcame a unique challenge of providing electrical equipment and supply to the exacting and complex standards of the Ministry of Defence in a major military field hospital.
7. Best Health and Safety Initiative Award
WINNER: Imtech Engineering Services Central Ltd
In a keenly fought competition, Imtech Engineering Services Central impressed the judges with a well defined approach to helping their supply chain meet high standards of safety, along with an innovative way of increasing and encouraging site hazard reporting.
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Darke & Taylor Ltd
8. Excellence in Training and Development Award
WINNER: Quartzelec Ltd
Quartzelec are this year’s outright winner for the Excellence in Training and Development Award. The judges were united in their view that Quartzelec had shown exceptional commitment to apprentice and lifelong learning, including extensive training in new technology and processes such as Building Information Modelling.
