Becoming a Registered Associate

If your business carries out electrical and electronic installation work but doesn’t yet meet all the Registered Member criteria, you may be interested in becoming a Registered Associate.

As a Registered Associate, your business will have access to some of the ECA’s key information and support services for up to two years at a cost of £375 pa.

The information and support services, selected to help you achieve the standards required to become a Registered Member, include:

  • Access to the technical helpline and ECA’s business support services
  • Access to the Members' Area of the ECA website
  • Invitation to attend branch meetings
  • Free subscription to ECA’s monthly e-newsletter, the Source
  • Free subscription to ECA’s quarterly journal, ECA Today
  • ECA training courses at member rates
  • Bupa health insurance for staff at member rates

When you then become a Registered Member, your business will benefit from the full, comprehensive range of services and benefits, including:

  • Use of the ECA Registered Member logos
  • Access to the full range of publications at member rates
  • Right to attend and vote at branch meetings
  • Online access to and use of ECA certificates
  • ECA representation at Employee Relations hearings
  • Participation in the ECA Guarantee of Works Scheme and the ECA Bond
  • Bupa cover for your ECA Nominated Representative at the member rate
  • Option to join the Joint Industry Board (JIB) at no extra cost
  • Option to be listed in the ECA website’s ‘Find a Registered Member’ search facility
