Electrical Inspection, Testing & Verification

Inspection, Testing & Verification is an important aspect of any electrical installation work, or reporting process.

From the simplest alteration or addition in a small domestic dwelling, to a large multi-million pound commercial or industrial complex, certification (the recording of inspection observations and testing and commissioning results) is a necessary part of verifying that an installation is safe and correctly installed to relevant standards.

Model certificates and reports are set, in many documents and codes of practice, relating to electrotechnical activities.
The most common sources of model certificates include:

•    BS 7671   relating to electrical installations generally
•    BS 5839   relating to fire alarms
•    BS 5266   relating to emergency lighting
•    BS 7909   relating to temporary installations

The ECA provides free to members, editable test certificates and reports for the standards above.
