BS7671: 2008, AMD 3 2015 revised regulation 411.3.3 now requires all socket outlet circuits not exceeding 20A to incorporate additional protection by 30mA RCD, however an exception is permitted provided a documented risk assessment is produced, justifying why RCDs are to be omitted.
