Free workshop on ECA’s SSIP proposal and the Wiring Regulations 18th edition

12 January 2017

The ECA would like to invite you to take part in an important workshop which will help shape its new SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) proposal. There will also be a free presentation about the forthcoming Wiring Regulations 18th Edition during the day.

The SSIP proposal includes helping members who do not currently meet the SSIP health and safety standard to achieve the standard, as part of a phased programme to ensure all ECA members who do commercial work, or have five or more employees, to be ‘SSIP compliant.

Six sessions are being held at three locations across the country on the following dates:

  • 31st January – South
ECA Central South Office – Unit 22, 1st Floor, Kingfisher Court, Hambridge Road, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5SJ

  • 2nd February – Midlands
ECA West & East Midlands Offices – The Chase Business Suites, Pottal Pool Road, Penkridge, Stafford, ST19 5RN

  • 14th February – North
Holiday Inn Hotel, Clifton Village, Coal Pit Lane, Brighouse, Leeds, HD6 4HW

  • Morning sessions (11.00am - 12.30pm) for those already registered with an SSIP member scheme
  • Afternoon sessions (2.00pm – 3.30pm) for those not currently registered with an SSIP member scheme

Buffet lunch - 12.45 to 1.45pm

During the lunch, a free presentation will also be given for both morning and afternoon participants about the anticipated changes to the forthcoming 18th Edition of the ‘Wiring Regulations’.

Participant travel costs can be reimbursed to and from your office address at HMRC standard mileage rates and/or for any standard travel fares (original receipts will be needed.)

NB: There are a limited number of places at each session and these will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
