On 12 September, the ECA launched its online Renewables & Microgeneration Interest Group Forum and over 130 contractors have already signed up.
Developed exclusively for ECA Registered Members, the Forum gives those interested in renewables and microgeneration the opportunity to share their thoughts, knowledge and questions with ECA specialist staff and fellow members.
The Forum compliments the guidance offered on the ECA website and via the ECA's dedicated Energy Solutions helpline (020 7313 4867), giving participating members access to information on:
- Technical, commercial and safety aspects of designing, installing and maintaining renewable and low carbon technologies
- Education and training courses on renewable and low carbon technologies
- Certification, including microgeneration certification scheme (MCS)
- Financial issues including return on investment figures (paybacks) for renewable technologies; how to present these to your customers; grants and other fiscal support measures
