- The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS): An ECS card and (compulsory) Health & Safety qualification is required for all commercial/industrial work - Visit the ECS website
- The Joint Industry Board (JIB) manages the ECS scheme in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and can provide information to card applicants - Visit the JIB website or call 0844 847 5098
- National Electrotechnical Training (NET) runs the AM2 and FICA practical Assessment of Occupational Competency (AOC). Visit the NET website
- Part P of the Building Regulations requires those who offer electrical installation services in the domestic market to prove they are competent, and their work must (legally) comply with this part of the regulations.
