To hold an ECS Card, you must pass the ECS Health, Safety & Environmental assessment (or have valid exemption). The ECS Health, Safety & Environmental assessment is specifically designed to meet the basic Health & Safety requirements of electrotechnical personnel.
Those who successfully pass the ECS assessment will be awarded with an ECS H&S Certificate, issued by the JIB or SJIB, which can be used to obtain an ECS card within two years of passing the assessment.
ECA is authorised to provide ECS Health, Safety & Environmental assessments throughout England, Wales & Northern Ireland. Reciprocal arrangements apply in Scotland.
ECA provides this service on behalf of the JIB and all health and safety assessments booked though ECA can be paid for by credit or debit card and will appear on your statement as 'ECA online banking'.
