Overview

Provides the basic required knowledge to design an Emergency Lighting System to BS5266/EN1838.

Learning Outcomes

The course will show delegates how to ensure emergency lighting systems comply with BS5266/EN1838. Candidates will gain an understanding of installation, servicing and commissioning activities and will also be shown how to complete the relevant certificates.

Designing to save lives
Completing emergency lighting certificates
Document B and Document M
The Disability Discrimination Act
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at contractors looking to gain an understanding of how to design and commission emergency lighting systems and all relevant documents that are applicable to BS5266/EN1838.

There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course, however it is ideally suited to practicing electricians or people who wish to ensure others are doing the job correctly, such as risk assessors, site agents or landlords.
