2017-18 Review of the Electrical Engineering Industry (EEI) Staff Salary Agreement

The ECA is pleased to inform members that an agreement has been reached with the Electrical and Engineering Staff Association (EESA) regarding the revision of Grade Salaries. An increase of 2 per cent for 2017 and 2.5 per cent for 2018 has been agreed for all Grades and will be applied with effect from 1st January 2017 (2 per cent), and 1st January 2018 (2.5 per cent).
The Parties have agreed to dispense with the minimum salary for Grade A only, retaining just the guide salary for that grade. Employers will need to ensure compliance with all statutory age-related wage rates.
In conjunction with this development the Death Benefit Allowance will be increased to £47,500 as of 1st January 2018.
The Parties have agreed to create a working group to review, without commitment, Clause 21 of the Handbook of Agreements relating to Sick Pay.
