Apprenticeship levy sharing: appeal for information
ECA would be grateful to hear from any members who have experience or otherwise know of a current levy sharing arrangement, or have had discussions about setting up such an arrangement.
18 October 2018
Members may have heard recently about Government plans to allow firms which are subject to the apprenticeship levy to transfer up to 25% of their levy pot to other firms in their supply chain.
Whilst this announcement has been much trumpeted – including by the likes of Build UK and the Construction Leadership Council – ECA is unaware of any example to date of firms in our sector or the wider construction industry implementing a levy sharing arrangement of this sort, or even contemplating doing so.
Accordingly, we would be grateful to hear from any members who have experience or otherwise know of a current levy sharing arrangement or discussions about setting up such an arrangement. If you have any information along these lines, whether from the perspective of a (potential) levy donor or recipient, please contact Andrew Eldred, Director Employment and Skills (email@example.com).
