Your chance to help improve public-sector social value requirements

Social value requirements are an increasing feature in contracts, especially in the public sector. Typical examples include offering employment and training opportunities for local people, environmental protection measures, and paying living wages.
ECA Members are now being asked to complete a new online survey designed to assist public-sector purchasers to improve the design and delivery of social value requirements. The survey is being run by the independent Institute for Economic Development and is also inviting firms to provide examples of good practice from their own experience.
The survey questions are slightly different (depending on the tier that firms typically occupy in construction supply chains) and can be found at:
