AJS celebrates 25 years as ECA Member

Essex-based AJS Group is celebrating 25 years as a Member of ECA - the UK’s leading trade association for electrotechnical and engineering services organisations.

AJS joined ECA in 1996. Since then, AJS has undertaken a wide range of electrical, fire and security contracts. This includes public and private sector work including housing, commercial and retail. Most recently, AJS has been increasing its efforts to support their clients’ social value objectives to provide better outcomes for those most in need. An example of this is their partnership with Beam, a social enterprise initiative, and Hammersmith and Fulham Council, on a crowdfunding initiative to help alleviate homelessness in the Borough.

AJS Director Joseph O’Connor said: “Our success is built by our people and they are the foundation for our success. As evidence of this, some of our employees have been with us for longer than we’ve been ECA members.

“We value our people and every member of our team, from front line engineers to customer call handlers, has an essential role to play.”

ECA Director of Member Services Helen Atkinson added: “ECA is delighted that AJS is celebrating this considerable milestone. ECA membership offers an unbeatable package of resources, advice and benefits, as well as the ability to network with the rest of ECA’s membership base. We look forward to continued collaboration with AJS in the years ahead and wish them all the best for their future success.”

ECA has around 2,700 Members, who undertake a range of electrotechnical design, installation, inspection, testing, monitoring and maintenance work. ECA Members range from SME electrical firms to nationwide engineering services businesses, with a combined turnover of over £6 billion annually.

In addition, ECA runs a range of associate programmes for manufacturers, distributors, consultants, training providers, educators, specifiers and end clients working within the electrotechnical arena.
