Delegates at the ECA Greater London Region conference took the opportunity to network, consider where to drive their business forwards, and how to measure carbon footprints at the ‘Towards New Zero' event onboard warship HMS Belfast.
Ethan Adkins, Electrical Apprentice at M-Spec Services, said, “Completing a formal Electrical Apprenticeship can be challenging. With ever evolving agendas to embrace, the ECA’s conference was factual, concise and understandable.”
The Electrical Industry’s Charity MD Tessa Ogle talked about making a charity sustainable. ECA member Phoenix ME shared their learning on how to measure your company’s carbon footprint and ECA’s technical team highlighted the range of opportunities across the industry due to new technology.
South East London Energy Cooperative Nadia Smith presented on the local projects that contractors can engage with. EC Insurance Services Client Manager Vicki Leslie reminded delegates that none of these opportunities can be successfully completed without looking after the wellbeing of yourself and your staff.
“We were delighted to have ECA President Dave Lewis open and close the conference and highlight the contribution electrical contractors can make in the battle against climate change,” said conference host and ECA London Chairman Adam Smith, NRT Group.
Electrical Apprentice Ethan Adkins, said ’It’s quite clear our industry will play a key part in achieving Net Zero.'
Thank you to our event supporters Legrand; Schneider; Signify and Edmundson Electrical who showcased upcoming products and services. Grateful thanks too to Edmundson Electrical who not only exhibited but ran a raffle in aid of the EIC.
Greater London Region Chair Adam closed the conference by inviting members to the 2022 event on Thursday 17 November at The Tower of London.
