ECHO nominated for two Security & Fire Excellence Awards

Electronic Call Handling Operations (ECHO), the automated alarm signalling service, has been nominated for two awards at the upcoming Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

The 2021 Security & Fire Excellence Awards will take place on Tuesday 23 November 2021 at the Hilton, Park Lane, in London.

The ECHO initiative has been nominated for Security Partnering Initiative of the Year and Security Project of the Year.

ECHO, launched in 2017 by the FSA and other fire and security sector partners, was designed to automate alerts from Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs) direct to police force despatchers via the ECHO hub.

The automated system avoids the risk of miscommunication, and can save up to four minutes in emergency response times.
