Looking for staff? An industry work placement could be the answer

Do you need staff in Business Administration, Reception, Finance, Procurement, Accountancy, or some additional help in your HR, Logistics, Customer Service, Legal or Marketing teams?

An Industry Work Placement could be the answer.

ECA Educational Associate New City Colleges have Level 3 Business Administration students looking for industry work placements of 45 days a year.

Jane Nugent, Work Experience and Industry Placement Coordinator at Havering College, says, “Ideally, our students would complete a one-week block within a department enabling an induction session and time to get to know the company. After this, they’d work within that department on their scheduled days off from college. Some students have one day off a week, some have two. Industry work placements are needed for one or two years depending on the student.

“This could solve some recruitment problems for busy firms. Our students will bring their business knowledge from college and will work with your team becoming fully integrated into the business.”

No salary is expected for an industry work placement. However, you can offer the student travel costs and food expenses.

Jane added, “What the students are looking for is your time, a little support and some of your patience. If this is what you company is crying out for, please get in touch!”
