Building Controls/ BMS/BEMS

Building controls and automation play a key role in making buildings functional, safe, comfortable and above all efficient. To achieve this, most commercial buildings incorporate Building Management Systems (BMS) that monitor control and integrate the buildings mechanical and electrical services and equipment such as heating ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems and security systems. 

Inviting Building Controls Specialists

As the Trade Association of the wider electro-technical industry, the ECA invites membership from organisations involved with Building Controls, Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS).

The ECA has been a driving force in the electrical engineering and building services industry for over 115 years since it's formation in 1901. Throughout the years, the ECA has been engaging with all aspect of the electrical contracting and engineering sector. (historical reference).

The ECA are continuing this by keeping members up-to-date with the latest trends in the Building Controls industry as well as technical information and support to help our members' enter into this specialist area. 

ECA now offer in-house non UKAS accredited assessments for this specialist area.
