United on Technical Standards
The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and the sector charity, Electrical Safety First (ESF) together created Certsure LLP in November 2012.
The primary role of Certsure is to deliver market leading certification schemes, as well as many other products and services for the construction and building engineering services industries. Within the electrical contracting sector, Certsure’s certification activities are carried out under the following four brands:

Clients can be assured and are guaranteed that high UKAS accredited technical standards are applied across all of the above certification schemes.
Furthermore, the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) which is maintained and published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is used as the benchmark for these schemes.
As a result, whether a client or hiring organisation is looking to find a competent contractor, assessed to the requirements of BS7671, or a business which can self-certify their work carried out within domestic premises to meet Part P of the Building Regulations, they can have complete confidence in the technical ability of businesses registered with any of these schemes.
