ECA and Unite secure new wage deal for electrical contracting industry

ECA (Electrical Contractors’ Association) and Unite the Union have agreed on a new three-year wage deal from January 2026 for the electrical contracting industry under the Joint Industry Board (JIB) collective agreement.

The key changes are detailed on the JIB industrial Determination.  

JIB Members played a key role in determining the negotiators’ remit, through feedback from the member-wide survey and input through regional meetings. 

The Labour Relations Committee and negotiating team successfully managed and concluded the process, providing a six-month lead in for employers.
