Taking Action

ECA helps to shape government policy and supply-chain practice.

Representing Our Industry

For over a century ECA has been shaping the policy landscape. This has led to the safe and reliable electricity the UK enjoys today.

We continue to strive to improve industry standards. And we advocate for a fair operating environment for our Member firms.

Together with our Members and partners we build strong relationships with policymakers. Our practical solutions are based on experience and expert knowledge.

ECA Member firms operate in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We work with devolved governments and regional bodies to develop industry-friendly policies.

We focus on the issues which matter most to our Members. Our current strategic priorities are:

  • Skills for the future
  • The safe transition to net zero
