Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) has responded to the consultation in reference to the proposed merger between the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), which will create one unified Industry Training Board (ITB).

While ECA supports the notion of wider collaboration across the sector, we don’t believe that expanding the scope of the ITBs to encompass Building Service occupations would be in the best interest of our Members or the wider sector. 

ECA has supported Members to provide their own responses to this proposal and we would oppose any efforts to bring electrical occupations under the ITB scope.
